Haven't had that much rain since the big "derecho" of Boundary Waters Blowdown fame on the fourth of July, 1999?. Roads are washed out all over the county, even the highway is down to one lane in a couple of spots. I've never seen the little creek here that full. Frisky the Magic Pony is grazing around the yard tied to his five-foot tamarac log buddy, like nothing ever happened. Dennis Bradley, the "professor" helped me pull a couple of planks out of my spruce board pile for North House oars, and then out of the goodness of his heart, he helped me haul all the poles out to Scott and Randi's on Great Spirit Road, for moving later over the water with their new rowboat. We'll wait for an offshore breeze or calm day for that enterprise.
